Meet the Midwife

Hey, I’m Briana! 

To say I have always loved mamas and babies would be an understatement. I started down my midwifery path shortly after witnessing my first home birth in 2002. That birth was pivotal in so many ways, and by the spring of 2003, I had started the midwifery program at Birthingway College of Midwifery. I went on to intern at Mercy Maternity Center in 2006, and then completed a year-long apprenticeship at Andaluz Waterbirth Center 2006-2007.

After graduating from Birthingway with a Certificate in Midwifery in 2009, I went on to complete a Bachelor of Science of Midwifery in 2012. I have been a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) through NARM (North American Registry of Midwives) since 2008. I have been serving families in the Spokane/North Idaho area since 2018.

I married my husband Ryan in 2009, and we welcomed our son Caleb through the miracle of adoption in 2017. When I’m not attending births, I love spending time with my family hiking, playing games, chaos gardening, and taking trips to the beach and the mountains. I am thrilled beyond words to serve Cascadia Midwifery families as a Washington and Idaho Licensed Midwife.
